THE CHALLENGE

In the current scenario, mental health is a growing priority, but many still face barriers to getting the support they need, whether due to limited schedules, high costs or lack of continuous follow-up.

This is the challenge that motivated the creation of Inner: how could we offer accessible, continuous and effective mental support, leveraging advanced technologies? Our mission was to bring an innovative tool that was empathetic and capable of adapting to the individual needs of each user.

ACCESSIBILITY TO PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT

Many people still face barriers to getting mental support, whether due to costs, lack of time, or unavailability of professionals in their area.

PERSONALIZED AND CONTINUOUS EXPERIENCE

Traditional psychological support can be fragmented, with the user having to restart the process with each interaction with a different professional.

TRUST AND PRIVACY

Privacy and security issues are fundamental in a mental health application. Many users hesitate to share sensitive information for fear of data leakage.

Inner differentiates itself by incorporating empathy in every interaction. Bia is not just an artificial intelligence; she was designed to interact in a humanized way!

By using cutting-edge technologies such as the OpenAI API and Flutter, Inner offers an innovative solution that not only facilitates access to mental support, but also makes it continuous, accessible and personalized, helping the user to find support on their own journey in a practical and accessible way.

What was done?

With such an important challenge at hand, we developed Inner: a modern mental health app, built with Flutter and integrated with advanced AI tools. We implemented a virtual psychologist named Bia, capable of interacting in a natural and personalized way with users, remembering their previous conversations to offer truly continuous support.

We used the OpenAI Assistants API to give Bia the ability to adapt her support to each user, with an empathetic and understanding language. At every stage, we prioritized an intuitive and accessible experience, without sacrificing technical quality, to ensure that Inner truly makes a difference in the lives of those who need it.

Bia is more than a simple artificial intelligence: she is the emotional ally of our users. Designed to understand and adapt to each person's needs, Bia can recall past conversations and create a history of interactions, personalizing her advice and approaches for each individual. With a welcoming and humanized language, Bia aims to be a constant and understanding presence, accompanying the user on their self-care and emotional growth journey.
